GoodView ("we", "our", or "the app") collects the following information:

• Location Data: Your device's GPS coordinates to show nearby scenic views and provide distance-based recommendations. Location is only accessed while the app is in use.
• Account Information: If you create an account, we store your email address, display name, and authentication provider (Apple, Google, or email).
• User Content: Reviews, ratings, photos, and scenic view submissions you voluntarily provide.
• Usage Data: Anonymous analytics about app usage patterns to improve the experience (e.g., which filters are popular, screen views).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Display scenic views near your location
• Provide real-time weather-based recommendations ("Best Right Now")
• Store your bookmarks, visited places, and reviews
• Improve app features and fix bugs
• Communicate important updates about the service

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase: Our backend provider for data storage and authentication.
• MapBox: For map rendering (your approximate location is sent to load map tiles).
• Open-Meteo: For weather data (your approximate location is sent anonymously).
• Google AdMob: For displaying ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers per Google's privacy policy.

All third-party services are bound by their own privacy policies.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only modify their own data. Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled via secure token exchange with Apple, Google, or email magic links.

5. Your Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal data we collect about you
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell data)
• Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

6. Children's Privacy

GoodView is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
